Camping at Lake Wildwood
Lake Wildwood's campground offers primitive camping for tents and pop ups in the woods, free to members, at a fee to their guests. In addition, there is limited space available for RV's and trailers who prefer the convenience of water and electricity. The utilities necessitate nominal fees for members, higher fees for guests. A substantial number of electric and primitive sites have been designated seasonal; members camp there from May through October (summer rate) or November through April (winter rate) without having to move their units as is required on standard sites after a 16 day interval. The seasonal sites tend to be in high demand and are awarded at a lottery once a year where all petitioners have an equal chance.
The campground is located adjacent to Lake Tanglewood and its outlet creek. Much of the area is wooded, home to wild turkeys, deer, fox, raccoons etc. A bathhouse and rest room facility serves the primitive campers. A dump station exists for trailers. A pavilion, phone and playground are also provided.
Rules of particular note include a leash law for pets, quiet hours between 10PM-8AM, and an age restriction stating members or guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult member.
